A gratitude journal for overthinkers
A gratitude journal for overthinkers.
Problem it solvesOverthinkers need a way to practice gratitude without feeling generic.
The maker published a KDP gratitude journal for overthinkers and learned that publishing alone did not bring sales. The post says the book had no sales from Amazon KDP despite profile optimization.
How they grewAmazon KDP; optimized the profile twice

My first product taught me a painful lesson about building. Beginning of this year, I published my first KDP book: A gratitude journal specifically for overthinkers. I learned KDP from scratch and launched it within a month. Then I made the classic beginner mistake. I thought: “It's published. Now the sales will come.” I even started calculating my potential MRR. 😂 Then… Nothing. No sales from Amazon KDP. I optimized the profile twice. Still nothing. That’s when it clicked: Publishing is not distribution. Building is not demand. I had built something for a specific niche. But I hadn't built an audience or created a reason for people to discover it. The product wasn't the finish line. It was the starting point. That failure still influences how I build today: → Talk to users → Validate the problem → Build → Distribute → Learn → Repeat What’s a product you launched that taught you a lesson the hard way?
