    PocketIQ Wealth: budgeting and wealth tracking in one place

    I spent 15 years bouncing between finance apps and finally built the one I wanted I've been working towards improving finances and building wealth for about 15 years. Loan calculators, net worth tracking, budgeting my money, etc. I've always used multiple apps to figure things out. So I decided to build an app for myself that has everything in one place — budgeting, debt payoff, compound interest, net worth tracking, retirement, the works. No bank connection, no account, you just type your numbers in. I originally wasn't planning on sharing it with anyone but I realized that this could be useful to others as well. And considering i make content on social media helping people get started building wealth, it felt like a smart thing to do. So I put it out. Less than 100 downloads so far, mostly friends and family I texted directly asking for support. Not a big number, I know. That's the honest state of it. Two things I'd love feedback on: \- The app itself — if you download it, what's confusing, what's missing, what would make you actually keep using it. \- How the hell do people get their first real traction on something like this? I don't have an ad budget to speak of yet and I'm not sure if I should be spending my time on TikTok, Reddit, ASA, or something else entirely.     An invoicing tool that charges per invoice sent

    I built an invoicing tool where you only pay when you send. 41 bucks on Meta ads got 0 signups, one Reddit comment thread got 100 visits Kept seeing freelancers complain they pay 30 to 65 a month to send like 4 invoices, and Harvest just hit people with 5x price jumps. So I built the opposite. 3 invoices a month free, 2 bucks each after that. No subscription unless you actually send a lot It does the annoying part. Tells you when the client opened it, sends the day 3 / 7 / 14 reminders so you're not the one texting "hey just checking in," and you tap mark paid when the money hits. Client pays you however they already pay you, bank, venmo, whatever. I don't touch the money Week 1, honestly: spent 41 bucks on Meta ads, 75 people clicked, zero signed up lol. Then I asked a pricing question in a freelancer sub with no link and a Wave user argued with me for an hour about whether Wave's really free. That thread sent more people in 6 hours than the ads did in 3 days. Reddit comments beat ads apparently Solo, built it in about 2 weeks. Next.js, Postgres, Stripe, Resend, Vercel Thing I can't figure out: is 2 bucks per invoice smart or weird? People either love it or think it's insane and nobody's in the middle. And if you were one of the 75 who clicked and bounced, what made you leave Link in comments, you can build an invoice on the homepage without an account so you can see the whole thing first

    Trigol.io: ai stock signals for short-term opportunities

    Where are you guys finding leads for your B2C SaaS? I'm currently building [Trigol.io](http://trigol.io/), an AI-powered stock signal platform that uses 500+ ML models to identify short-term opportunities in US stocks. We publicly track every signal, including the losing ones. So far in 2026: 276 signals, 73.9% win rate, +82.74% cumulative performance. I'm at the point where conversion doesn't seem to be the main problem: Visitor → Free Trial: \~3.5% Free Trial → Paid: \~10% The free trial requires a credit card Obviously there's still a lot I can optimize in the funnel, but right now my biggest bottleneck seems much simpler: I need more qualified traffic. I'm bootstrapping this and working with a very small budget. I plan to start experimenting with paid ads soon, but before burning money there, I'm trying to figure out which low-cost acquisition channels are actually working for other micro-SaaS founders. So far I've been looking at things like niche creators/affiliates, Reddit communities, organic content, SEO and direct outreach.     Driver settlement automation for carriers

    Built driver settlement automation for one carrier. Did I build a one-off? Driveaway carrier. Advances load onto WEX/EFS cards from inside the TMS, paystubs assemble themselves from load pay, escrow, insurance and reimbursements, settlements pay on the same card and every settlement posts into QuickBooks as a split check that reconciles to card activity. Before the integration they had someone full time building paystubs, paying settlements and recording everything into quickbooks. It went live August 11. In four weeks it’s moved over $210k across 275+ transactions and should cross a quarter million this week. Now I’m trying to figure out if this is a product or just a custom integration.

    A rental investment simulator for the French market

    4 months after launch, 0 customers. What would you have done differently for marketing? Hey, Two years ago, 3 friends and I started a project in engineering school. It was a rental investment simulator for the French market. You put in a property and it tells you if it's actually profitable, which tax regime to pick, what the neighborhood looks like, and gives you a report for your bank. We really believed in it. We built a lot. And we never got a single customer. For marketing we tried cold calling, meetings with potential partners and investors, LinkedIn posts and a bit of Instagram. Nothing worked. People hung up, meetings went nowhere, posts got no traction. We never tried YouTube or ads. We stopped working on it about 4 months ago. The site is still up but the project is basically dead. I'm not trying to promote anything here. I just want to understand what we got wrong, because I'm working on other projects now and I don't want to make the same mistakes. None of us had any marketing background and honestly I still don't really know where we should have started.     Subtrack: a local-first subscription audit tool with a one-time unlock

    Why I ditched auth and recurring subscriptions for a local-first utility (and what 10k views showed about paywalls) (Disclosure: I'm the solo developer behind Subtrack, sharing this as a build/metrics retrospective) When planning a simple utility SaaS, the common playbook is almost automated: spin up an auth provider (Supabase/Firebase), set up cloud database tables, block access behind a login screen, and charge $5/month. I originally went down that route, but the product fundamentals felt contradictory: people looking to audit and reduce recurring subscriptions are usually exhausted by the idea of adding yet another monthly bill. On top of that, forcing an account creation before delivering immediate utility creates a massive drop-off for simple tools. I decided to rebuild the project as a zero-login, local-first web app (localStorage only) backed by a flat lifetime unlock ($14.99) instead of monthly billing. After tracking roughly 10,000 views across recent posts and analyzing initial event data, here are the main technical and business takeaways: Removing mandatory logins completely transformed initial interaction. Over 80% of new visitors jumped straight into testing the pre-populated demo dashboard. However, zero-friction created a different product problem: users treated the demo as a static sandbox and did not naturally realize they could reset it to input their real data. I had to build an explicit "clear demo & start fresh" onboarding banner to bridge the gap between passive testing and actual active usage. - Zero server maintenance vs. Data risk: Storing user records client-side eliminated server maintenance, database scaling costs, and sensitive financial compliance concerns entirely. The trade-off is user retention: if a user clears their browser cache without exporting their CSV backup, their records are gone. The next logical step will be optional local file imports rather than centralizing data on an external server. - One-time fee resistance vs. Churn management: For micro-utilities, charging a one-time unlock ($14.99 after 5 free entries) eliminated the recurring churn problem completely. While it limits MRR predictability, initial conversion intent signals were noticeably higher than asking for an ongoing subscription.
