NotchMan: mac tools that drop down from the notch

A Mac notch menu for people who want quick tools without opening apps or browser tabs.

Problem it solvesToo many small Mac tasks are scattered across menu bar icons and browser tabs.

Pratyush Agarwal built NotchMan for Mac users who wanted quick access to common tools from the notch. He says it puts sixteen tools in the black bar already on the screen and keeps everything local on the Mac.

The notch on your MacBook has done nothing for five years. Today that changes. NotchMan is live. Hover the notch and sixteen tools drop down. Move away and they're gone. 1. Revenue - what you made today, without opening Stripe 2. Analytics - who's on your site right now 3. Claude Code - your tokens, disappearing in real time 4. Calendar - next meeting, counting down, one tap to join 5. Screen Time - the two hours you spent in Slack 6. Hours - how long that job actually took 7. Timers - a Pomodoro, already running 8. Tasks - the three things you're avoiding 9. Reminders - a gentle pulse, or block your screen 10. Shelf - drop a file, grab it hours later 11. Scratchpad - a thought, before it's gone 12. Clipboard - what you copied twenty minutes ago 13. Hydration - a glass that fills, and nags 14. Calories - a budget from the weight you're aiming for 15. Breathe - sixty seconds to unclench your shoulders 16. Habits - one tick, six months of streaks No window. No dock icon. No account. Nothing leaves your Mac. I built it because I had four menu bar icons and three browser tabs open for things that take five seconds each. Now they're all in the black bar that was already there. $10.99 once. Not a month - once. First 100 people, then it's $19. 99 left as I post this. notchman.com

A Chrome extension that tracks small productivity progress

Small progress on my Chrome extension: 38 installs 4 weekly users Weekly users are up 103% from the previous period. Still a tiny number, but seeing people come back and use something I built is encouraging. Keeping at it and learning how distribution works.

A Chrome extension that tracks installs and weekly users

39 installs for my Chrome extension. Still small, but seeing weekly users grow is encouraging. Building the product is only half the job. Getting people to discover it — and keep using it — is the harder part. One small step at a time.

A Chrome extension that is getting its first installs

40 installs for my Chrome extension 🎉 The numbers are still small, but I'm starting to see a little more movement: • 40 installs (+25.93%) • 12 page views (+68.42%) • 4 weekly users (+64.71%) Still learning that building the product is only half the job.

An app that scales with organic content posting

Day 27 of scaling my app to $10k/month. 16 active subs. $551.40 revenue in the last 28 days. No big spike today. That's organic: someone may see a slideshow now and search for the app later or never. I can't predict the next sale. I can keep making useful content and posting.
