I built a SaaS for myself, not for customers. What should I do now? I built a SaaS and Iam stuck at a point where I don't know what to do next. The product is good, the website looks good, and I've been working on SEO for the last 2 months, but I still have **0 signups**. The base plan is $14/month, and I genuinely thought it would be very useful for **SEO professionals, Brands** and **SEO agencies**. But now I'm starting to question myself. Did I build a tool that **I personally wanted**, instead of building something customers actually need? What would you do at this stage? Should I keep improving the product and marketing it, or should I stop and talk to potential customers first to understand whether there's actually a problem worth paying for?

I do everything solo, and I'm not going to lie, I'm fucking proud of myself. Since I was a kid, I've been told to focus on one thing. I find that boring. I want to play and try a bunch of things. I never felt confident because nothing really worked out for 7 years. I ended up being average at everything: coding, marketing, design... But building 37 startups (marclou.com) taught me something far more important: resilience, discipline, and optimism. Over the past decade, those skills have compounded. I now run a tiny portfolio of startups making $1M+/year, sleep 8 hours a night, work out 2 hours a day, and spend plenty of time with my wife. Anything is possible if you're hungry. Believe in yourself.

It's a marketplace for founders to sell ad spots on their gear for stuff they're already doing (races, challenges, whatever). > Live bidding > No DMs or spreadsheets > Stripe holds the money and auto-captures the winner I'm 7 days in. So far, I've got 0 real signups (only me so far). I'm trying to figure out if that's a distribution problem or the idea just doesn't have legs.     @hellyeah_ai: fixes ad measurement before it moves spend

    Yesterday our co-founder Jay Ma (@Doudoujay) asked a room of founders: has a post or a launch ever gotten you more attention than customers? Every hand went up. Then he asked them to keep it up if they could put a number on what that attention did to revenue. Most of the hands came down. We know the feeling. We were building @finalroundai before @hellyeah_ai, and it got to $1M ARR on viral alone. One post did 83 million views. Then we went after $10M and kept getting the views without the revenue. You can't schedule a viral post or buy another one. So we put paid next to it and scored every channel on what @stripe collected. $15M ARR in 12 months. 4.2x blended ROAS. @hellyeah_ai came out of that. We were customer zero, then other founders asked us to run the same playbook on their accounts. The first thing we find is broken measurement: 👉 One campaign we audited reported 2,757% ROAS on the platform. Stripe, net of refunds, said 48%. Same campaign. 👉 A client's dashboard counted 16 sales last month. Their database held 3. 👉 A streaming client paid $300 a sale bidding on purchases. 90% of their payers hit 12 streams on day one, so we moved the bid to that event and paid $80. We fix the data before anyone touches a bid. We got tired of doing this by hand on every account, so we built it into a product. The agent runs the audit and the budget moves, and it asks you before it spends. Google Ads today, more platforms after. Jay got into it with @unifygtm (@DurshtE ), @shanda_group (@bei_zhang01) and Press Club (@kwangaroo) afterward about GTM and which users are worth chasing in the first place. All three of us sell to founders who need customers to show up.

    Dice: finds articles where your brand should be mentioned

    3 years, 20+ failed projects… and finally one that’s growing I could have stopped in 2023 or 2024 after many failures, but I kept building. I know indie makers who managed to become successful very quickly, but in 90% of cases it does not happen fast. From my experience (and from talking to many other indie makers) I’ve learned that 3 years is about the time it takes for most indie makers to start earning enough to work on their projects full time. I’m still building new products despite already having profitable ones. My latest project, [**Dice**](https://dicee.app/) \- it finds the exact articles your brand should be mentioned in and gets you featured there and get recommended by AI. It has already brought in thousands in revenue and is growing faster than I expected. But none of this would have happened if I hadn’t started building and launching projects one after another back in 2023. The main lesson: Consistency beats luck. Keep shipping, keep learning.
