I forgot how good this feels: First $39 with pre-order, without a finished product. As context, I used to be a Notion creator, in total I made over $50k (including selling the business). That was like 3 years ago. But the one thing that I really missed, were these Gumroad notifications. I remember waking up in the morning and checking how much I've made while asleep. Now I'm back baby :D It all started with Hermes Agent. I started using it and wanted to create a dashboard for it. From that idea, I was thinking, why don't I build my very own all-in-one app, that I will use to monitor basically everything in my life from tasks, notes, goals, to finances, health, recipes and more. So I started building it. After a month in, I decided, why not turn this into a product. Similar to a Notion template, I could sell this as an "app template". For sure a lot of people would like to do the same: building their very own all in one app. **The idea is simple, instead of 100+ hours and $200+ in AI spend, you get a pre-built codebase with step-by-step instructions, that you can deploy and edit to your liking.** This is how [Solum OS](https://getsolumos.com) was born. It is still not ready, I have a lot to work on before I can officially launch it (fixes, features, onboarding & video guide, etc.), but I decided to build the landing page, and add a "pre-order" option. And bamm, after two days, my first pre-order came. This gave me a huge motivational boost, so I can keep building, and soon launch it. Reddit was a big part of this, so huge thanks for the community!

    Noren: framer templates for business sites

    I made my first $1,000 this month. And my first thought was: I should make more. A few months ago, I was fully focused on Framer templates. Then Framer 3.0 launched in the same month I got my first template accepted and made my first sale. The whole marketplace changed pretty much overnight. It took me a while to get back to my usual 3–4 sales a month, and somewhere along the way I started looking at client work too. Not because I had planned to. I just got an inbound lead. And that turned into my first client project. The project itself started pretty simply. The client liked a Framer template and wanted to use it for their business with some changes. After about a week of back and forth, it became a much bigger project. Custom pages, more interactions, effects, and eventually a 13–14 page website designed and built in @Framer. And that's how I got to my first $1,000. Not all from the client, and not all in one month, but around 80–85% of it came in a single month. And honestly, this month was kind of crazy. Noren was another big part of it. I built it in 12 days and ended up making around $300–350 from it across the month. The funny part is that the Noren money was completely passive. I was buried in the client project, and I'd randomly get a notification that someone bought the template. The client project went well too. The client was reasonable, the feedback was straightforward, and somehow we didn't even have a single call. I had spent time thinking I'd need to prepare a whole presentation just to get the project started. Didn't need it. After making the money, my first thought was obviously: I should make more. More clients. More templates. More content. But I'm actually going to do the opposite for a week. I'm taking a break. This month basically swallowed my entire routine. I gave almost all my time to the project, and I think I've earned a few days where I'm not trying to turn every waking hour into another dollar. $1k isn't some huge milestone. But getting here from where I started still feels pretty damn good. Maybe there was some luck involved. A few template sales. An inbound lead. Good timing. Maybe not. Either way, I did a hell of a job getting here. So this week I'm getting back to some things I've been putting off. I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077, which I know I'm about a few years late to. I'm finally starting to learn Japanese too. Today I literally just copied a few Japanese sentences into my notebook. I don't understand a single character yet, but honestly, it looks pretty cool. Then I'll slowly get back into my old routine. For now, I'm taking the week.
