Problem it solvesFounders can't predict client acquisition because they don't track the right funnel metrics.
Luke Shalom shares a setter DM tracker for founders and teams who use LinkedIn outreach. He says it helps build a predictable pipeline by tracking messages, replies, calls, show rate, and closes.

I know exactly what stops founders hitting $30k, $50k and even $100k months from LinkedIn. It's not your content. 👇 It all comes down to getting obsessed with your "metrics". Most expert founders have no idea why one month they have an amazing launch, and the next month they're crashing back down, wondering what the hell happened. Knowing your business metrics is the only way to make your client acquisition predictable. And if you can't get this right, you'll never be able to sustain $20k, $50k or $100k months in your business. Here's what I track: Top of funnel Content: - Which posts get hand-raisers and qualified calls booked - All of it logged in an Excel sheet - The winning formats saved into my Claude AI strategist, so I can replicate them Middle of funnel Outbound: - Messages sent: how I keep my team accountable - Reply rate: tells us if our first-touch message is working or needs switching up - Active conversations: are we actually prospecting, and is our messaging engaging prospects? - Touches per booked meeting: the golden metric I hold my team to. Once you know it, you can work backwards to your targets - Qualified sales calls booked: budget, authority, need and/or timeline confirmed in the DM conversation Bottom of funnel - VSL completion: how long your prospect watched your VSL. It shows the drop-off points, where to improve retention, and whether prospects arrive at the call warmed up - Show rate: how many people actually turn up to your sales calls - Close rate on qualified calls: how many qualified calls it takes you to close a client - Total close rate: include your disqualified calls as well as the qualified ones, and you get the number you actually need to scale (this will humble you if you think you're an A-class closer) - Slipped deals: if 20% of your deals usually drop off, factor that into your close metrics - Cash collected: the cash you actually receive from the deals you close. Not contract value, not MRR - Contract value closed: what clients have agreed to pay under contract When your numbers are dialled in, consistently profitable months become a by-product. Because you can work backwards from your best months. For example: I close 1 in 5 of the calls I take (qualified or not). It takes 35 touches to book a call. So on paper, my team needs 175 touches to sign one $10,000 client, and 1,750 touches for a $100k month. But my show rate is 70%. So a $100k month at $10k a client actually takes 2,520 touches, not 1,750. Your best months come from knowing your numbers. After all, how can you hit a target if you don't know where it is?
