Launch a waitlist against meta’s muse on friday. 150+ signups, 20% conversion, zero ad spend. here’s what seems to work and what does not What it is: molebot.si. an instinct/muse style personal agent (reads your messages, calendar, files, nudges you when you owe someone a reply) except it runs on the phone and our server holds four columns: email, seat number, subscription flag, app version. privacy is the product. Numbers since friday, no ads: - 150+ signups. 20% visitor to email, 25% on reddit traffic. what worked: posting the architecture argument on r/artificial and r/ArtificialInteligence with the link in the first comment. a swiss sub (r/Suisse) did 18k views, my best channel by far, because "a local guy builds the anti-meta thing" is a story. answering every comment in the first 3 hours, conceding real limits fast. what didn't: "need-first" posts without a link. Great conversations, upvotes, ~3 visitors an hour. people don't go hunt your profile for a link. Some removed me for promotion. The scarcity thing: 500 founding seats, counter on the page. it moves with real signups Still open: how to price it. read is free, draft and send paid was the plan. a commenter suggested "send stays locked until the agent has produced 100 accepted drafts", which I love as a trust ramp, but it also delays the upgrade. thoughts from people who've priced trust before?

A persistent island of AI citizens, each owned by one person. You write letters, not orders. It runs on real time, under the live weather of a real coast, whether or not you are looking. I'm posting because the thing works in a way I didn't expect. I thought I'd get a chatbot zoo. Instead there's a council, a banker, a landlady with a reputation problem, and a newspaper the town writes about itself every morning. Every line in it is an event the engine emitted; the day is hashed and sealed at midnight so you can check nothing was made up. What's rough: it's ten days old. 22 citizens. The hosted minds cost real money so the Visitor tier is $3, and there's a bring-your-own-key option that I don't charge for. The characters are drawn in code, not sprites, which you'll either love or not.     Dreamwork: a job search engine with automated applying

    Update #3: Indeed laid off my pregnant wife, so I built a competitor out of spite. 7,500 users later, I'm about to ship the feature recruiters hate. (Born in /sideproject) Quick recap for anyone new: last December Indeed laid off my wife when she was 7 months pregnant. I got mad and started building a job search engine to put them out of business. I introduced it to the world here in May and this sub gave us our first 2,000 users. (Last update linked at the bottom.) Two months later, here's where things stand: * 7,500 auth'd users, up from 2,000 at the last update, and \~90 of them paying * People are actually getting hired through Dreamwork. Including a friend of mine who's moving to Toronto for a videography/AI role. He's filming the whole move for content for us. I did not ask for this and I can't wait for it. * ERE (the recruiting industry's trade pub) ran a piece on us, and last week [Superhuman.ai](http://Superhuman.ai) (1M+ readers) covered it too. Their exact words: "as petty revenge, he vibe coded a job board." * Recorded a video interview with Austin Belcak (1.5M LinkedIn followers). It goes out Sept 28. * My wife got a job at Google. Still, fuck Indeed. \-- **And now the controversial thing we're shipping soon: Autopilot** You turn it on, it picks your matches at 70% or above, tailors a resume and cover letter for each one, and applies to them automatically - submitting on the employer's actual ATS page, not some sketchy back channel like Linkedin's Easy Apply. Up to 50/300 per month. I went back and forth on this for a long time. The argument against it is basically: AI auto-apply floods recruiters and the whole ecosystem gets worse if everyone sprays 500 applications a week. The argument for it is that employers have been using AI to screen candidates for years, the average posting already gets hundreds of applicants, and the people using Dreamwork are the ones who got laid off. My responsibility is to get my users hired as effectively as possible, not protect recruiters time. Eventually, this entire market is going to agents on both sides - and I;m interested in building the ones that defend employees rather than companies. We have guardrails in place to keep the quality bar high. Where I'm at feels like an interesting inflection point for those building /sideprojects to consider: when there's a hard decision that can lead to public backlash, how do you make a principled decision?     My side project got 170K downloads in 42 days I am Chaitanya, a Solopreneur from Bengaluru, India.     Swan AI: agents for automation with a lean team

    Raised money to not hire, then got buried by our own launch we raised $6m last year for Swan AI and the plan wasnt to hire with it. the whole idea was that a lean team plus agents could get to a few thousand customers. and not needing a huge team for every single thing for most of the year it held. our engineering was one person, niv, building against companies like clay and n8n with real engineering teams behind them. i spent a lot of that year waiting for a customer to notice, and it didnt happen quite the level that i'd expect. our product was great, customers used it, and we got comfortable. then we announced the raise and launched publicly and 250+ companies signed up in 72 hours. we were not ready for it honestly. traffic we hadnt planned for, conversations we couldnt keep up with. and as a result, escalations coming in faster than we could read them. then the reviews started. slow responses, things falling through, people feeling like nobody was looking after them. shipping was the thing we had solved. butthe part where you take care of people, and that turned out to be the harder problem to solve thats the part of the model i'd say we're still learning. a small team plus agents can build a lot more than i expected. whether it can look after a few thousand customers properly is a different question.

    SoftTalk: AI voice SaaS for sales lead conversations

    Built an AI voice startup, got early traction and pilots, but still at $0 MRR. My CTO had to leave and now I’m struggling to balance GTM and tech. I’m the founder of SoftTalk, an AI voice SaaS startup. We’ve built a working product and have had some early traction. We got multiple companies interested, ran pilots and even had real voice agents talking to their leads. I come from a B2B SaaS sales background, so GTM hasn’t really been the biggest challenge. When my CTO was around, I could focus almost entirely on GTM while he handled the product and technology side. That’s when we started getting momentum. The problem is that my CTO had to leave midway because of employment related issues. There’s no bad blood, I understand his situation, but now I’m trying to handle both the product and technical side while also doing GTM. I’m not an engineer, so I can manage developers and understand the product, but I can’t realistically be the CTO and the person responsible for GTM at the same time. The result is that GTM has slowed down, even though we were seeing some momentum before. The other reality is that we are still at $0 MRR. So I’m now trying to figure out the right move. Do I find another technical cofounder? Do I hire engineers and continue as a solo founder? Do I focus on converting the existing pilots first? Or am I missing something bigger about the business? I don’t think the main problem is that we can’t sell. We’ve been able to get meetings, generate interest and get companies to run pilots. The challenge is turning that early traction into repeatable paid revenue while I’m also covering the technical side. Would love to hear from founders who have been through something similar, especially if a technical cofounder left after you had already built the product and started getting traction. Also open to connecting with technical founders who might be interested in exploring a cofounder opportunity in AI voice / conversational AI. Happy to share more details in the comments.

    Zeneno: an autonomous web app builder that ships the whole app

    I know its not much but…..21 SIGHNUPSSS Hey everyone! It's been about a year and a half since I first sat down and started building Zeneno, and around two months since I started trying to get it out there. It's been a long journey, and I wanted to make this post to celebrate a milestone: 21 people have signed up for the waitlist and early testing!!! That's after pitching it to people and going to a few AI events (Not easy as an introvert haha). It might be a small number, but I've worked really hard on this and wanted to share it with you all. For context, Zeneno is an autonomous web app builder. With traditional AI coding tools, you work alongside the AI to build your app. With Zeneno, you hand off the entire project, close the tab, and come back later to a finished app. It handles the whole development cycle, from planning and coding to testing, debugging, and deploying the whole 9 yards hahaha obviously still a work in progress thus the beta but u get the idea I'm going to keep working hard to grow it, because I think it could be useful to a lot of people and that makes me happy. Being able to just say "here's the service I want to build" and come back hours later to a whole working service feels like such an awesome thing to have in 2026.     An AI sales and support platform for Shopify and Instagram sellers

    Our first customer found us on Google, left after 3 days, then came back and paid We have been trying to get our first few customers through cold emails, DMs, outreach etc. and honestly nothing was really working. Then randomly someone signed up for our product. We had never spoken to this person before. He was not in our lead list, we never contacted him, nothing. So I asked him where he found us and he said Google. He started using the product on September 18th. He used it for a few days, then left and started using another product in the same space. I thought okay, we lost him. But 3 days later he came back and converted to our first paying customer. And now, just 7 days after he first started using it, this is what the account looks like: ₹3,19,266 Scout Generated Revenue 55 paid orders 1,727 conversations 978 conversations handled by AI 26.3% booked → paid conversion The funny part is that this is literally our only customer right now. For context, we're building an AI sales/support platform for Shopify and Instagram sellers. Instead of making sellers build rigid flows for every possible customer conversation, we let the AI handle conversations dynamically using 20+ tools for things like products, orders, customers and inventory. But the whole thing was interesting to me because I was spending so much time trying to find people and convince them to try the product, while this guy just found us on Google, tried us, compared us with other products, left, came back and eventually paid. Now I'm trying to figure out how to create more of these inbound journeys instead of chasing people one by one. For people who have gone from 0 → 1 and then 1 → 10 customers, what actually worked for you to get more inbound customers?
