Okay, it’s actually a 1L mug.

you spend 2 weeks shipping an update, post the demo, and get 12 impressions
brutal feeling
what I do now when a post completely flops:
1. close Twitter immediately
2. open a group chat with 3 founder friends
3. drop the unedited screen recording of what I built
no algorithm, no engagement farming
just other builders giving raw feedback

Today: $17 MRR, 3 paying users.

And paid for something I built.

the best decisions I've made for my products came from talking to other founders
that's why I built the tmaker Founders Room
it's 200+ bootstrapped founders who share what's actually working for them, intro each other to the right people, and tell you when you're about to make a mistake
we've already had guest sessions with Marc Lou, Ilias Ism and Rob from SuperX, and each one shared the exact playbooks they used to grow
next up is Nevo David from Postiz 👀
he grew it to $220k+ MRR in one of the most crowded spaces out there, and I can't wait to hear how he did it
if you're already using one of my products, you get 50% off for 12 months
and if you don't find it useful in 7 days, email me and I'll give you a full refund

I started my own projects 8 years ago, since that time I built:
- my own programming language
- figma-like form builder
- AI agents orchestration platform
- desktop app to provide visual feedback for AI agents
that was the time I saw @levelsio growing like crazy
the biggest regret I have was not following my dreams and instead working for someone else
yes I became a higher paid worker, but many indie hackers are now at 10k+ MRR and are set for life
ProblemWorking for someone else can keep people from following their own projects.

today marks the 4th anniversary of our getting into yc
- applied with an idea we thought would be "the next whatsapp"
- got into w23 with roughly $70 in MRR
- our partner said: "this is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard"
- tanked our demo day
- raised only $120k while many batchmates raised $2m+
- took 8 pivots to find pmf
- $263 in monthly revenue in our first month with @magicpatterns
- took a year+ to reach $10k mrr
- hit $1m ARR over the next 7 months (profitable) with two people
- raised our series A
- got a proper office
- hired people
- started closing more enterprise deals
- worked with ramp, granola, doordash + many more interesting logos
- built a ~20 person team across two offices
tl;dr: getting accepted into yc changed my life!
also made us realize "just don’t die" is more than generic startup wisdom that's passed around because it sounds cool.

For 7 years I have been building my YouTube agency on a retainer model.
$5k-$10k per client...great MRR.
We built it to multi-seven figures.
...but I was tired of blowing up channels and not participating in the growth.
We switched to a performance based model a few months ago and this happened...
Our channels blew up.
Of course we take the risk in the beginning, but the back end is so much more lucrative and our clients become partners.
We launched this channel on May 13th 2026.
It now pays me 8x the amount we used to charge in monthly retainers.
If you're truly good at what you do, performance based is the way to go.
If you have a successful YouTube channel and you want us to make it more successful for a cut of the growth, hit me up.
Day 113 of the MRR brand:
We are back to performance before the adrevival ban finally!
Actually better since profit margin is sitting at 25-30%.
On a much safer set up as well with personal account. It took a while but we made it.
We are going to start testing new angles. If we can crack these new angles the the sky is the limit fr.
Next 3 month goals:
This month hit 10k day.
October hit 20k day.
November hit 1M/M run rate(33k A Day)
I truly think its possible now that we have an actual safe setup.
ProblemAd bans can cut off a brand's performance and force riskier setups.

For all new indie app builders:
Posting on social media will NOT make you rich. Before I hit $10,000 MRR, I failed my first app and wasted 2 years.
I loved meditation so I made Monkeyless a meditation screen time app. I couldn't let it go. For 2 years I posted organically everyday. I did not miss a single day, not ONE.
I did:
- 30,000,000 views in the span of 2 months after 1 year of little progress
-Tortured myself with ridiculous videos like Rawdogging a clock for 8 hours
-Embarassed myself in front of the camera since I'm not an extrovert
-Tried slideshows, AI content, hired UGC creators, partnerships, every angle possible
I still failed. I was sold the idea: "just post everyday, spark the winners and you get success". This is bad advice.
Real takeaways after 2 years of failure:
1. Screen time niche is hard, I do not recommend
2. Don't post organically. Only exceptions:
-To become familiar with social media in general
-To become familiar with your specific niche
-To get your first 500-1000 downloads
But don't rely on it to make you real money. Use it as an experiment to get data and extrapolate from there.
3. Your #1 goal from launch is to discover whether your app is either a) worth scaling, or b) a flop.
4. Look at DATA. Download-to-paid rate, trial start rate, paywall showrate, optimize onboarding as much as possible especially if you have a hard paywall.
5. Be TRUTHFUL with yourself. If the data says your app sucks, your app sucks. Stop trying to save a sinking ship like I did. You don't need 2 years. You can determine this within 2 weeks.
6. Be careful who you listen to on X. I don't think people on here have bad intentions, but people like to exaggerate results and sell you a dream
7. No co-founders! You already make little money, don't split it even further. Maybe for the future, when you have more capital to scale, but don't do it for your first start-up.
Luckily my social net was strong and I had many friends supporting me. Even when I failed, they liked my videos, recorded videos with me, and tried to give me advice even though their advice was bad 😂 Very grateful for them.
Don't make the same mistakes I did!

August 4th, 2025: I got fired from beehiiv.
August 6th, 2025: I found out I was going to be a dad.
So I had two options: find another job, or bet on myself at the worst possible time.
I bet.
I posted about getting fired 20 minutes after it happened.
It got 100K views in 24 hours.
Nine days later, I launched @rallyupteam with no product, no customers, and no plan besides posting every day about what I was building.
Then I spent 6 months building the wrong thing:
Software to get employees posting on LinkedIn. Only 2-10% of them ever do.
So we flipped it.
Start with one exec, and do it for them.
That's the company now.
We build audiences for founders and execs who have something worth saying and no time to say it.
We pull their real context (their talks, their customer calls, their actual opinions), and an expert writer/content engineer writes their post.
My own account is the proof:
→ 23,500 followers, all organic
→ ~5M impressions in the last 12 months
→ My investors, my customers, and my first hire all came from posts, not outbound
I post about building this in public, what actually works on LinkedIn and X/Twitter, and the parts of founder life nobody screenshots.
This is on top of being a new dad and building from Israel.
If you're a founder or exec who has over 5M in funding or ARR and you know you should be posting but still aren't, DM me. 🤝
P.S. I'm offline 25 hours every week for Shabbat. If I go quiet until Sunday, that's why.

$100k MRR SaaS. Same business, 7 countries.
What the founder actually keeps per year:
Cayman: $720k
Dubai: $664k
Hong Kong: $622k
Cyprus: $607k
Estonia: $562k
US: $479k
UK: $346k
Dubai vs London: $318k a year.
Everyone's hyping Cyprus right now. Read the fine print first.
The setup:
$1.2M revenue, 60% margin = $720k profit. Founder lives in the same country. All profit paid out as dividends. 2026 rules. US is federal only, state tax comes on top.
Cyprus is not 12.5% anymore.
15% corporate tax since Jan 1, 2026. Non-dom = 0% defence tax on dividends, but you still pay a 2.65% health contribution (capped at €4,770/yr). ~15.8% all-in. Still good. Just not what you were sold.
Dubai is not 0%.
9% corporate tax above AED 375k since 2023. The free zone 0% only applies to "qualifying income," and SaaS isn't on the list. So most SaaS founders pay 9%. ~7.7% all-in, 0% personal tax. I live here. Still the best number you can actually live with.
Cayman is 0%.
Also: no Stripe, substance rules, and if you don't live there, your home country taxes it anyway. It's a fund address, not a SaaS HQ.
UK: 25% corp tax + dividend tax up to 39.35% (went up again April 2026). ~52% total.
Cheapest country to start a company (£100).
Most expensive country to succeed in.
US LLC for non-residents is not a tax hack.
Usually no US federal tax, but your home country taxes the profit. Forget one Form 5472 = $25,000 penalty. The LLC gets you Stripe and a US bank. Not a lower tax bill.
Setup cost, roughly:
UK: ~$130
Stripe Atlas (Delaware): $500
Hong Kong: ~$500 gov fees + agent
Cyprus: $2-4k
Dubai free zone w/ visa: $5-6k
Cayman: $3-6k
Cyprus, HK and UAE free zones also need an audit every year. Budget $2-9k.
Where you incorporate matters way less than where YOU live.
Company in Cyprus + you in Berlin = German tax.
Company in Dubai + you in London = UK tax.
Move first. Incorporate second.
If you go the Delaware route from abroad, the stack is:
EIN
Registered agent
US address
US bank
US phone number
The phone number is the one everyone forgets until a US client asks for it.
I built @BubblyPhone partly for this: US number, $3/mo, works in your browser. Use it for clients and vendors, not bank OTPs. Most banks reject VoIP.
Not tax advice. Illustrative numbers, 2026 rules. Get an adviser in both countries before you move anything.
A browser-based US phone number for founders who need a number for clients and vendors.
ProblemFounders abroad need a US phone number for business setup and customer calls.

One of my greatest achievements this year, next to our brands, is building my own community called MRR Ecom Mastery together with @der_remo
It was an idea I had at the beginning of this year: bring MRR brand owners together in one community and give them value they won't find anywhere else. We launched it in May 2026
A community that actually learns from founders who have built, lost and rebuilt in public
MRR Mastery has now reached 300 members. A community I built organically, just by posting on Instagram and YouTube
I can send a message in a group with 6-8 figure founders who are able to help me and each other out, and give updates on what is currently working in the space
This is how you stay on top of how quickly the ecom space is moving
We also have higher-up reps in the community from companies such as Slash, Aftersell, Checkout Champ, payment processors and more..
On top of that, we front-run our competition by updating the included masterclass on a bi-weekly basis. Everything on scaling your creative engine and mastering subscriptions for your brand on a deeper level
We've helped 42+ founders build their MRR brand from $0, with everyone scaling to 6 figures a month, and even greater results like clients scaling to $2.5M in 90 days
The results speak for themselves. An even better feeling is that when people ask about me, they can only vouch for the great stuff and how we helped them scale
So much more to come
A community for MRR brand owners to learn from founders and share what works.
ProblemMRR brand owners want a place to learn what works and keep up with a fast-moving ecom space.
